Oriental art objects often differ from their European counterparts not only in their materials and techniques of production but also in the special circumstances required for their preservation and storage. The conservators of the Museum, skilled in special Oriental techniques, are in charge of the conservation, restauration and protection of the collection.
Items of leather and textile is the field of Andrea Várfalvi while Zoltán Asztalos is specializing in wood, metal and lacquerware.
